    OUC Emerging Talent Internship Program

    The OUC Emerging Talent Internship program is dedicated to providing students with real-world, hands-on experience. We are committed to helping and inspiring a new generation of professionals, future marketers, engineers, inventors, technicians, and leaders to achieve their goals and their career dreams. We look for diverse perspectives, people with a range of different backgrounds, curiosity, and tenacity looking to make a difference in solving real-world challenges. At OUC, our interns will work on projects that directly impact our community.


     

    Special Projects
    Opportunity to gain project management experience as a contributor across the Commission.

    Mentorships
    Familiarization with corporate protocol.  Identify long-term professional development needs.  Realize the value of networking.  Develop a meaningful professional relationship over a specified period.

    Professional Development
    Learn soft skills such as communication and interpersonal skills, teamwork and collaboration, time management and multi-tasking, critical thinking, planning and prioritization, problem-solving, assertiveness, and accountability. 

    • Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university
    • Academic status of Freshman and above
    • Successfully complete a criminal background check
    • Authorized to work in the United States  

    The internship program operates per academic calendar year. The duration of OUC’s internship program is one semester, which runs in conjunction with the summer, fall, and spring semesters for Florida’s colleges and universities. The internship calendar is established annually and specifies the application windows during which the department will accept applications, start dates, and semester end dates.

    In addition to great pay, internship discounts include:
