After the electricity is generated, it enters nearly 400 circuit miles of high-voltage transmission lines.

The electricity voltage is stepped down to safe levels and travels through more than 2,600 circuit miles of distribution lines—above and underground—to reach homes and businesses.

OUC CCR Rule Compliance
OUC has a dry storage area at the Curtis H. Stanton Energy Center, the Combustion Waste Storage Area, which stores fixated combustion waste materials and is in accordance with the Coal Combustion Residuals (CCR) Rule requirements.
