OUC Assistance Programs

In addition to helpful and easy savings tips, tools and rebates to help lower energy bills, OUC offers several assistance and payment options to support our customers.

Project CARE

Project CARE, OUC’s utility payment assistance program, provides emergency relief for those experiencing temporary financial hardships.

Emergency Home Energy Assistance for the Elderly Program (EHEAP)

The Emergency Home Energy Assistance Program for the Elderly (EHEAP), a 100% federally funded program, helps eligible seniors pay energy bills in an emergency. Now through September 30, qualifying households are eligible for up to $5,000 of assistance with multiple energy bills. Apply at SeniorResourceAlliance.org/EHEAP.

American Diabetes Association

People with diabetes who have a household income 300% or less of the Federal Poverty Guidelines (adjusted for cost of living index and number in household) may apply to access to grants up to $1,500 annually to help with medical costs (inclusive of in-patient and out-patient costs), including health care provider visits, lab tests, medications, and devices/supplies approved for use in disease management.

The Access Center provides intake screening services for both involuntary and voluntary clients, and is provided on an in-house, walk-in basis for individuals seeking care for themselves or a family member. Aspire Health Partners is a community mental health center and designated public receiving facility.

Camaraderie Foundation provides 100% financial support for short-term confidential, private counseling services to military service members, veterans, and their families.

Catholic Charities of Central Florida provides free healthcare services—including medical, dental, case management and preventative education—to individuals and families in critical need. These needs are met by dedicated healthcare professionals, many who volunteer, in Behavioral Health Services, Medical & Dental Clinics, Pathways to Care and Senior Wellness Services.

Our Mental Health Connections program provides free information and referral resources for individuals seeking mental health information and providers for themselves, family members or friends.



Orange County Medical Clinic

Primary Care Access Network - provides care for those without insurance. Also sees patients with private or government sponsored insurance such as Medicaid, Medicare and Florida KidCare.



Shepherd's Hope

Provides free non-emergency medical care. Patients must be uninsured,not have Medicare or Medicaid and have a family income at or below 200% of Federal Poverty Level. Shepherd’s Hope does not provide obstetrical care or well-baby care such as immunizations.



St Thomas Aquinas Medical Clinic

St. Thomas Aquinas Free Medical Clinic is a program of Catholic Charities of Central Florida in partnership with St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in St. Cloud. The clinic provides health care to the working poor in Osceola County. Services include medical care, case management, preventative health education programs, specialist referrals and referrals to community social services.

Schedule a FREE Home Energy & Water Efficiency Audit
Our Conservation Specialists are available via phone to discuss ways you can conserve energy and water around your home. The specialist will review your personal usage with you, ask questions and provide useful solutions. You can also inquire about ways OUC can help with upgrade costs, like our Efficiency Delivered program and rebates. To provide you with the best service, we ask that you have at least six months of consumption history at your property before requesting an audit.
