Whether Riding 4 Ronald, running the OUC Orlando Half Marathon or donating to our emergency utility assistance program (Project Care), we are passionate about making our community the best place to live, work and play. That means working hard every day to deliver the essential services our customers rely on, and then going the extra mile to give back to our community.
Project CARE: Project CARE is OUC’s emergency assistance program to help those in our community who experience a personal or family crisis that places them in danger of losing their utility service. OUC sponsors a dedicated case worker at United Way 2-1-1 to handle utility assistance inquiries and direct those customers to additional resources they may need. OUC customers and employees have the opportunity to contribute to this fund. For every $1 donated, OUC will contribute $2 to the program. Visit the Project CARE page.
OUCares: OUC’s annual employee giving campaign through United Way and United Arts that supports a variety of non-profit organizations in our community.
SALT Partnership: In January 2020, OUC partnered with SALT Outreach to help them build a solar-powered mobile shower trailer. This organization created this eco-friendly trailer to serve the homeless community in Central Florida. OUC contributed $10,000 toward the cost of installing rooftop solar panels on the trailer. This is just another way that OUC is proud to support our community while using innovative, sustainable solutions.
Proud Volunteers: A program encourages and rewards employees for their volunteer work in the community. Every year OUC employees donate more than 10,000 hours of their time to numerous organizations in Central Florida.
OUC Charity Golf Tournament: Since 1995, the OUC Charity Golf Tournament has raised more than $687,000 to support more than 50+ Central Florida non-profit agencies working to better our community.
