Ken Zambito
Vice President of Transmission
Ken Zambito is the Vice President of Transmission at Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC—The Reliable One), the 14th largest public power utility in the United States. He oversees the planning, engineering, construction, operations and maintenance, technology transfer and administration of OUC’s electrical transmission and electrical substations.
Mr. Zambito began his OUC career in 1989 as an electrical engineer and progressed to Senior Engineer in 1995. From 1999-2001, he served as Manager of Costs & Controls, followed by a stint as Manager of Finance & Technology. In 2005, he moved up to Director of Finance & Lighting, then to Director of Energy Delivery Services in 2010. In 2013, he became Director of Transmission Construction & Maintenance, the post he held until 2018 when he assumed his current role.
Mr. Zambito created a nonprofit called Town of Celebration Marathon & Half Marathon, an annual foot race that raises money to fund scholarships for Osceola County high school seniors. As race director, he leads a team of more than 400 volunteers who work to ensure the event is consistently rated superior for runner experience. Mr. Zambito also is a licensed professional engineer in Florida.
He earned a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from the University of South Florida and a Master of Business Administration from Stetson University.
