Eliminate Summer Bill Spikes
Take the stress out of summer bills with OUC’s free Budget Billing service. Your utility costs stay steady year-round, letting you manage your household budget with confidence all year long.
How It Works
- Predictable Monthly Payments: OUC calculates a stable monthly amount based on your average usage, keeping your bill consistent for 12 months.*
- Free, Simple, and Flexible: There’s no cost to join and you can enroll in minutes through your myOUC account.

*OUC calculates your Budget Billing payment based on the average of your utility bills over the past 12 months, including electric and/or water, solid waste, wastewater and taxes. If your actual usage significantly deviates from the budgeted amount (exceeds a 20% difference), the monthly budget amount may be recalculated before the 12-month period ends. How It Works
- Expert Guidance at No Cost: You’ll get a custom report with money-saving efficiency tips and recommended measures tailored specifically to your home.
- Instant Savings Opportunities: Plus, you’ll get free energy and/or water conservation kits with easy‑to‑use upgrades like LED bulbs and low‑flow showerheads.
Upgrade Your Home for Less
Efficiency Delivered® helps you cut utility costs with energy and water‑saving home upgrades. OUC covers up to 85% of the costs, and flexible payment options make the rest easy.*
How It Works
- No Upfront Costs: Qualifying customers pay nothing at the time of installation, with their share of the cost is spread over future bills with interest‑free payments.
- Real, Measurable Savings: Participants save an average of 100 kWh of electricity and 200 gallons of water each month — that’s nearly $200 per year in savings.

*Your share of the total cost depends on your household income, your status as a homeowner or renter, and the improvements you select. Eligibility for installments is based on payment history. If installments are not available, the full portion will be added as a lump sum on the upcoming OUC bill.
Home Improvement Rebates
For every out-of-date appliance you have, there’s a high-efficiency alternative ready to improve your home and lower your energy bill. And for some upgrades you make, there’s a rebate available for you to cash in.
Play Offense & Beat the Heat
Your A/C is working overtime in the summer. But you can minimize the impact of hot weather with these energy- and water-saving tips.
Try setting your thermostat to 78°F or higher. For each degree below 78, your cooling costs can increase by 6–8%. If 78°F feels too warm, take the “one-degree challenge” and gradually raise your usual setting one degree at a time.
Why spend money on watering your lawn during summer when Mother Nature will do it for free? With Orlando recording at least six inches of rain during a typical summer month, you may be able to cut back on irrigation and your lawn will be none the wiser.
Have a dishwasher or washing machine? Only run full loads and avoid using hot water. Water heating can account for 14% to 25% of the energy consumed in your home.
Use blinds, heat-blocking window film or blackout curtains to repel sunlight and heat, especially on windows facing east or west.
Replace dirty or clogged A/C filters. When filters get dirty, airflow drops and allergens can slip through, and your system has to work harder than it should. Swap in fresh filters and continue replacing them on the schedule recommended by the manufacturer.
Timing is everything. Save water by watering lawns early in the morning (before 10 a.m.) or in the evening to minimize evaporation.
