LeMoyne Adams
Vice President of Electric & Water Distribution
LeMoyne Adams is the Vice President of Electric & Water Distribution at Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC—The Reliable One), the 14th largest public power utility in the United States. He is responsible for overall engineering design, estimating and project management for electric distribution, water distribution, and lighting distribution retail projects.
Mr. Adams joined OUC in 1993 as an Electrical Engineer and progressed to Senior Electrical Engineer in 1999. He was promoted to Manager of Customer Service Engineering in 2002 and, in 2005, named Director of Distribution Engineering. He was appointed to his current position in in 2018 and oversees the planning, engineering, construction, operations and maintenance, technology transfer and administration of OUC’s electrical distribution system and potable water distribution system, including the electric and water meter shops.
Before coming to OUC, Adams worked for EMA Inc. as a Senior Systems Analyst. In this role, he worked with a software implementation team for the system integration and implementation of MAXIMO (a computerized maintenance management system). Previously, he worked at Siemens Stromberg-Carlson in software development.
Mr. Adams is a member of the Florida Chapter of the American Association of Blacks in Energy, a national association of energy professionals founded and dedicated to ensure the input of African Americans and other minorities into the discussions and developments of energy policies regulations, R&D technologies, and environmental issues.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Florida A&M University.
